Rich Man’s Theremin: The Ondes Martenot

Love these unusual instruments. This thing was invented by a guy named, um, Martenot, in 1928, the same year, as you know, that Estonia changed its currency from the mark to the kroon. Coincidence? I THINK NOT. I’m assuming the “Ondes” part of the name means only about three people in the world can play this”. Okay, the real translation means “Martenot waves.” It was built up until 1988, the same year Dippin’ Dots was invented. Coincidence? Yes.
